R.E.M., The Cure, Flaming Lips on for Sasquatch! Festival

The Sasquatch! Festival has just announced their 2008 lineup of artists and will feature big guns like R.E.M., The Cure, Modest Mouse, M.I.A., Death Cab, and the mighty Flaming Lips. The annual ode to our Chewbacca-like friend will take place from May 24-26 (Memorial Day weekend) at the beautiful Gorge in Washington. Veteran attendees can attest to the beauty of the terrain, which adds to the overall music experience. So what does Sasquatch! offer that the other competitors don't? The long awaited premiere of The Flaming Lips movie Christmas on Mars and a full-blown comedy tent for people who simply need to cheer up.

You a need a cause and a fund that will send you to Washington. Out of all the festivals in the U.S. Sasquatch is supposed to be the most fun, that's what I hear. Although it does get very cold up there.

It's so great living in Washington. =] A two hour drive and I'm there! Ohhh I'm so excited! =D But seriously it's a great festival this will be my third year going. I reccomend anyone who's able to go to find a way to make it. Because not only is there great music, but the scenery is to die for. The Gorge Ampitheatre sits on the banks of the Columbia River. Comepletely and utterly picturesque! (Just make sure you're prepared for any kind of weather! It can either be in the 90's, raining, hailing or some killer wind gusts!)
