Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Tomson "100% fit" after hit-and-run accident

Talk about bad luck. Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Tomson was involved in a hit-and-run accident last night while walking on a London street. Obviously, the driver who hit Tomson never stopped and has officially earned the award for "Biggest Jerk of the Week". According to NME.com Tomson was treated for head and neck injuries at Royal London Hospital but was given a clean bill of health. Here's an official statement from their publicist:

"Vampire Weekend's Chris Tomson was the victim of a hit and run accident last night while walking in London.  He has since been released from the hospital and declared 100% fit, despite some bangs and bruises. The band was in the UK for some shows and promo and will be returning to the US this weekend."
